The Life of Mrs. Marsden
I was born in San Diego, but moved up to Utah when I was eight years old. I lived in Murray most of my school years, and graduated from Cottonwood High School. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Management, and from Southern Utah University in Elementary Education. I later went on to receive my master's degree in 2010. I have endorsements in English as a Second Language, Math, and Technology. Lifelong learning is important to me.
I served in the Army for four and a half years, and learned to jump out of perfectly good airplanes. I am glad that I was able to serve my country. I have traveled to many parts of the world including Canada, England, Germany, Holland (The Netherlands), Panama, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and many other islands of the Caribbean (St. Thomas, St. Martin, St. Kitts, Santa Lucia, and Barbados). I have also been all over the U.S. including Alaska and Hawaii.
I am married to Mr. Marsden, who used to work at the school. He is my best bud. We have no children, but have two cats: Joey and Sam. My sister, Shannon, also lives with me. I've enjoyed having her around.
I taught 4th grade for 7 years, 1st grade for 3 years, 3rd grade for 2 years, and have been back in 4th for five years! This experience has given me the tools I need to teach students of all ability levels. I am so excited to help your student shine!
